Following PM Shri @narendramodi’s clarion call of #MeriMaatiMeraDesh reached Ahiran village – land of Ahirs- Murshidabad’s Jangipur this evening and collected sacred earth from three special places: 1. Chaitanyamayee Shrinkhalita Kali Mandir at Lalgola, where Rishi Bankim Chandra spent time and had the vision of Bharat Mata inspiring him to compose #VandeMataram

2. From Dhuliyan, Murshidabad, birthplace of revolutionary Nalini Kanta Bagchi, (1896-1918) who was born in Dhuliyan, Murshidabad and was martyred at the age of 22 fighting British police.

3. From Jangipur, where lived the iconic Bengali litterateur Sarat Chandra Pandit better known as “Dada Thakur” (1879-1968) – humorous poet, writer, publisher, a doyen of modern Indian journalism, social critic and reformer, once a household name in Bengal. Also spoke on the significance of PM Modi’s call of “Samriddh Bharat” & its multidimensional achievements – both in terms of “Vikaas and Viraasat.” BJP district president Dhananjay Ghosh and other leaders were present.
