Book Review

The security of the country remains the priority of the Modi 2.0 government in view of the ever-increasing terrorist attacks, the tension on the country’s borders and the changing world-class environment and the turmoil in India’s neighboring places. The leading Indian publication house Pentagon Press, which throws light on the country’s issues, has launched the book ‘Modi 2.0 A Resolve to Secure India’ at the right time, when the debate on the current government’s national security policies is in full swing. Voices are being raised in favor and against it in domestic and international political forums.

Mr. B. Ale. Santosh, National General Secretary-Organisation, BJP was the chief guest on the occasion. Other eminent guests on the panel included Professor Baibek Debroy, Chairman, Prime Minister’s Consultative Council; Shri Ranjit Panchanda, Former Director General, Indo-Tibetan Border Police; Dr. Uttam Sinha, Fellow, Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defense Studies and Analysis; Dr. Anirban Ganguly, Hon’ble Director, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Research Foundation and Mr. Rajan Arya, Managing Director, Pentagon Press LLP.

‘Modi 2.0 A Resolve to Secure India’ highlights notable ideas and inputs from national security experts and ideologues and talks about the Modi government’s performance and strategies in this regard. The editors carefully evaluate government policies, initiatives, disaster response and the government’s political leadership role. The book covers various areas of administration and important issues in which BJP has achieved substantial success.

  • Strategies to Countering Insurgency in Assam-SarbanandaSonowal;
  • Need for Police Reform by Bibek Debroy;

At the launch of the book, Shri B.L. Santosh, National General Secretary-Organisation, BJP said, “Today is a very special day for all of us. The contribution of the editors and authors of the book makes it even more special. In the new era, the sense of assurance was getting lost somewhere, during these 7 years under the leadership of our leader, the spirit of assurance has returned again in the system. The potential which was not realized in 70-75 years has been utilized in 7 years’.

Today I remember the words of my honorable Prime Minister – I do not know what I can achieve or give in the next 5 years, because to achieve achievements, cooperation and support of many people is needed, But I assure you that I will work in such a manner that none of you will have to bow down to seek votes next time. He has made us proud.
