Happy to present my book “From Partition to Progress: Persecuted Hindus & the Struggle for Citizenship”, to Ambassador Asoke Kumar Mukherji, India’s former Permanent Representative to the United Nations, New York, former Ambassador to Kazakhstan & Deputy Amb to Russia, Spl Secretary MEA. Amb Mukherji is a dear friend, a profound strategic thinker, scholar, teacher, a repository of the history of Indian diplomacy and a leading expert on multilateralism. Very few know Russia & Central Asia as well as he does! Was honoured to be given a copy of an exquisitely designed and printed book conceived & edited by him, “India through the eyes of Russian Artists”, from the collection of the iconic State Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow. Interestingly, the book was released by then Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee and President Putin at the Kremlin during the Summit talks in November 2003. Delighted to receive this precious and priceless piece of heritage-history!

The programme was held in the premises of the same institution “Ramnarain Ruia College” which witnessed this watershed event in the history …

Gave away the Annual Awards and released the College’s trilingual magazine “Ankur.” Urged the young achievers to learn as many Bharatiya languages as they could, spoke of the NEP’s focus on teaching through the mother tongue …
