Nikhil Newaskar Ji, RSS Prant Pracharak, Tripura Prant, is a repository of information and perspectives on India’s northeast. Widely traveled in the region, having deeply penetrated its varied and diverse social life and culture dimensions Nikhil Ji knows Tripura and the entire region’s history and fabric like very few do. His analysis of partition, displacement, of East Bengal and later Bangladesh is invariably thought provoking. It was a richly educative experience to work with him in the Lok Jagaran outreach across Tripura last year. Always full of ideas and fresh perspectives, sessions with him are very energising. Was happy to present him my book “From Partition to Progress.”
