Glimpses: Syama Prasad Durgotsav Samman”- 2024: Domohani, Bankura. Guru Ma Saraswati Hansda’s Ashram Durga Puja is being observed for the last two decades. Guru Ma Saraswati Hansda is a widely revered figure and a large number of adherents participate in this #durgapuja – organised by women from the Janajati community. Guru Ma Saraswati Hansda blessed us and told us the Puja was for Nari Shakti and for everyone’s welfare. I spoke of the PM Shri Narendra Modi’s historic initiative of “Janjati Gaurav Divas” and of the international recognition of Durga Puja as a cultural heritage of humanity. Shri Sunil Rudra Mandal, social activist and Bankura district president of BJP, Shri Sunil Mandi, secretary Adivasi Vikas Parishad, Shri Rabindranath Bandyopadhya eminent intellectual, Swami Akshayananda of Ramakrishna Mission, Serenga, advocate Shri Billeswar Singha and others were also present.
